Indians Slap Three Dongs In Nine Pitches
photo credit: Jason Miller/ [object Object] The Cleveland Indians were down a run to the Boston Red Sox in the third inning of this evening’s game. Within a nine-pitch span, they went from trailing 2-1 to leading 4-2 after Roberto Pérez, Jason Kipnis, and Francisco Lindor all slapped solo dongs to right field.
Here are all three dingers.
This is the first time Rick Porcello has given up three home runs in the same inning all year, and it actually could have been worse. Mike Napoli eventually ground out, but he hit a towering foul ball that was 13 mph faster than any other ball hit during the inning. Jose Ramirez eventually made the third out, but he hit a huge fly to center that Jackie Bradley Jr. had to chase down and make a spectacular catch on.
Also, this dude had to eat dog food for some reason after the third dong.
