The Kings Are Such A Mess Right Now

Big question for tonight’s draft telecast: will ESPN cut away if news breaks that Sacramento’s owner, coach, and best player are all brawling in an alley?

You know the deal by now: George Karl wants to trade DeMarcus Cousins. Vivek Ranadive doesn’t want George Karl to trade DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins and Karl hate each other. Now Ranadive and Karl also hate each other. Sacramento Kings basketball.

The increasingly emerging best option is to fire George Karl into the sun. Or at least just fire him.

Karl’s deal reportedly runs three more seasons, all guaranteed save the last, with a $1.5 million buyout clause. It would cost the Kings $9.75 million to tell him to get the fuck out right this second. I don’t see how that’s not a bargain.
