The Learning Curve: The Big Nasty Athletic Department
This segment is called " The Learning Curve" where you, young blog proprietor, will get a link to your new site on Deadspin. Any and all questions you may have about being a successful blogger will (hopefully) be answered.
Not by me, though. Consider this a "Dear Abby" for blog publishers and, you, proud, angry, often cruel commentariat should provide your helpful tips on success.
Now, thick skin is a requirement for every blogger. But do try to be helpful as well.
Don't just torture all these people and trounce on their dreams in the comments — email them your tips, your real suggestions, your advice, etc. Touch lives and all that.
Today: The Big Nasty Athletic Department, which, according to the site, "provides news, opinion, and endless resources for a wide variety of (predominately) sports topics with wildly entertaining segments that you will only find here in the house that Big Nasty built." That last part might be a little confusing, until you realize that Big Nasty was, if I'm not mistaken, Frank Lloyd Wright's nickname.
Dear Deadspin:
For months now (I know, I'm a late bloomer) I have been a frequent follower, commenter, and onlooker (raised eyebrows and all) of Deadspin.com. I have recently entered the Blogosphere, as of August of this year, and amidst this site 'waking up Deadspin' and 'going balls deep', I've been looking for a tasteful way to promote my sports blog to the blogging public on other sports blogs such as Deadspin.com.
Enter 'The Learning Curve,' a segment fine-tuned for today's blogger, me, to shamelessly plug the frequently updated commentaries, athletic departments (segments) and all the tomfoolery that goes on in The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. If public humiliation, and getting crucified by bitter and bored commenters, are incuded in the qualifications/sacrifices I'll have to endure to increase traffic for big-nasty.com, so be it. The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. Features sports stories, opinions, forecasting (Search: SpreadSHREDDER) and a unique perspective on the endless happenings in sports all personified within the confines of The Greatest Blog on Turf. Tell your commenters to be gentle.

So there you are. Big Nasty asks you to be gentle. Go to it.
