The Raiders' Rookie Hazing Includes A Dong-Shaped Haircut From Carson Palmer
Our friends at Busted Coverage actually bothered to watch last night's Cowboys-Raiders preseason game, but by doing so they were able to make an intrepid discovery: several Raiders players sporting some spectacularly awful haircuts, which the crew at BC instantly pegged as some standard Raiders rookie hazing.
Busted Coverage went to work today to investigate the situation further, and soon enough they stumbled upon offensive tackle Joseph Barksdale's Twitter timeline, where a number of photos identified as "Rookie haircuts" can be found. The, um, dickhead creation you see to the right, which appears to be the craftsmanship of none other than quarterback Carson Palmer, belongs to Tony Bergstrom, an offensive lineman selected in the third round from the University of Utah. Oh, and Bergstrom's wife happened to notice his new 'do only after seeing it on Barksdale's timeline:
Bergstrom's wife proved to be a good sport about it, though. We kinda think #genitalhead ought to stand as Bergstrom's nickname:
Check out Busted Coverage for additional photos of bad Raiders rookie haircuts, including three different views of undrafted former Pitt offensive lineman Lucas Nix's rather dashing new look.
