The Time MJ Reffed A 3-On-3 Game Between NBA Stars And Sumo Wrestlers
Here's some fascinating video out of 1996 Japan. While on a promotional tour for Nike, Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd and Michael Finley took on three sumo wrestlers in a game refereed by Michael Jordan.
Watching Jordan take on the sumo wrestlers one-on-three would've probably been the closest thing we ever got in terms of a real-life Space Jam scenario. But it's probably better for everyone involved that Jordan didn't play, because he would've been ruthless in his attempts to destroy the other team. Honestly, it's a surprise he didn't challenge anyone to sumo. Now, 18 years later, we wait for Kobe Bryant to answer.
