This Woman Makes Other Women's Dreams Come True
Natalia Oberti Noguera, Founder and CEO of Pipeline Fellowship, started her company in 2010 with the goal of creating more capital for women social entrepreneurs. Right after launching the Pipeline Fellowship, Natalia heard from a woman entrepreneur how a male judge at a pitch event declared publicly that "women are a niche market." Natalia and Pipeline Fellowship COO A. Lauren Abele boldly disagree.
Natalia and Lauren set up investment boot camps for female investors so they can learn how to become mentors and "angel investors" for female entrepreneurs looking for the next step in funding beyond friends and family. Natalia's tethered to her BlackBerry, from which she checks email, arranges boot camps, and tweets incessantly. When in NYC, Natalia and Lauren base their making-dreams-come-true operation out of In Good Company (featured in the video above)— an appropriate venue for a duo that goes around connecting women entrepreneurs with women investors.
