Time To Unleash Your Shea Stadium Memories
"June 14, 1987. Mets, Phillies. We're enjoying a beautiful afternoon in the right field stands ..." One of the most famous Shea Stadium stories is fictional, of course. What can top Jerry Seinfeld explaining the physics of The Magic Loogie to Kramer and Newman? But you have real Shea memories, no doubt. And we want 'em. The final three regular season home games occur this weekend vs. the Marlins, and who knows if there will be playoffs? They're tearing it down and putting up a new one next door, and the only thing certain is that things will never be the same. So dust of the cerebellum and tell us what your most memorable experience at Shea was like. Hopefully it was better than Kramer's run-in with Keith Hernandez ("Our day was RUINED! ...") And don't think you have to confine yourself to baseball. Anyone out there who attended that Beatles concert? Anyway, send 'em to me at [email protected], we'll run the best ones on Monday. See you then. Here's To You Shea Stadium, A Good Park [Big League Stew]
