TMZ Sports Is Dead, Long Live TMZ Sports
Writes the New York Post's Keith Kelly, "TMZ founder Harvey Levin has been having trouble trying to branch out beyond its comfort zone. He had plans to launch TMZDC covering Washington DC and had also started hiring sports writers and editors with the plan of doing TMZ sports. Both plans fizzled."
We don't know who was on board or why Levin bailed on the project. CNBC's Darren Rovell tweets that there was "not enough dirt on players people are interested in." (Make your Macaulay Culkin face here.)
Unfortunately, people might keep calling us TMZ Sports. On the bright side, we do keep our monopoly on bidding for Oddibe McDowell's water bill's dong.
