UCLA Refusing To Be Whooped
This image was lost some time after publication. The Bruins have taken a 28-21 lead with them into halftime after sweating Memphis into their worst shooting performance of the year. They're 0-for-10 from behind the line, and 10-of-37 overall. Most tricks are not impressed by 21-point halves.
Ryan Hollins is leading the scoring with 9 for UCLA. Robert Dozier is Memphis's leading scorer, and he's got 6 points at the half. That's really kind of sad.
But still, I'm betting that this turns into a close game. Memphis has too much talent to continue shooting so poorly, and I think someone at CBS is threatening to kill players if they don't make these games close. Either that, or they've threatened to assign Billy Packer to call every game next year of any team who blows someone out.
