Wake Forest Tries To Clock Ball At End Of Half, Turns It Over Instead
ACC football at its best: a team trying to spike the ball, stop the clock, and set up a field goal attempt instead turns it over.
After Wake Forest quarterback Tanner Price managed to get sacked with 20 seconds remaining in the half against Presbyterian, he quickly lined the team up to spike the ball and bring on the special teams unit (or, even, take another shot at the end zone). Neither of those things happened, because Price fumbled the ball and Presbyterian recovered it. It's a play that brought tears to Greg Schiano's eyes. [ESPN3]
