Watch Another High School Buzzer-Beater Bring Down Rupp Arena In The Kentucky State Finals
This year's high school basketball playoffs have provided some really wonderful (and sometimes maddening) finishes. Here's Kentucky's offering.
This clip comes from Kentucky's boys' state tournament title game, between Madison Central and Ballard, at Rupp Arena in Lexington on Sunday. Central was down four with about 30 seconds to play, and they got to within two, 64-62, with 16 seconds remaining. After a timeout, Ballard botched its press break, and Central senior Ken-Jah Bosley managed to get off a fadeaway three just before the buzzer. Ballard couldn't respond in its final heave, and Central won, 65-64.
There were about 17,000 in attendance for the game, and the finish is somewhat magical thanks to their reaction. Here are a few more angles from the stands:
Bosley finished with 20 points. It was Madison Central's first-ever state title in boys' basketball.
