Watch Oscar Pistorius Blow Away The Field And Set A Paralympic Record In The 200m
Our old friend Oscar Pistorius is the first track athlete ever to compete at both the Olympics and Paralympics, and if this video is any indicator, he is not fucking around at all.
The Paralympics, also in London, began Wednesday. Pistorius did well in the Olympics, advancing to the semifinals of the 400m (which would eventually be won by Grenada's Kirani James), but didn't manage to earn any hardware. The record set in the video above came in a qualifier, but — shot in the dark — Pistorius may have a chance to medal at this year's Paralympic Games. They run the final tomorrow, and Pistorius had the fastest qualifying time by four tenths of a second.
