We Are All Dave McKenna XLIV
Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Snyder's dumbass libel suit is, well, you all know.
Today's topic: Introspection, or lack thereof.
During a forum earlier this week at the newspaper for which he lords over blog-naming rights, Danny S. was asked to identify the biggest bust during his tenure. His response? " You know. I don't need to answer this. You all know."
Thing was, there are so many from which to choose, they all didn't know. Generally speaking, when someone asks a question, they need an answer.
Snyder acknowledged that the Redskins made a mistake [with Albert Haynesworth], and "when you make a mistake, whatever the mistake, whatever the dollars are, you feel bad. You were obviously hoping for the best.
"One of the things you try to do is, you're trying to make the right decision. You're trying to be supportive. You end up taking the entire blame in response and I understand that. That's fine. But the reality is the intentions are in the right place."
Yes, say what ill you will Master Snyder, but he is clearly a stand-up, blame-accepting chap. So with best intentions in mind, perhaps you can make a donation to the Washington City Paper's legal defense fund.
