Wednesday NBA Betting Picks: October 29th Best Bets, Player Props
Four NBA teams are unbeaten through one week of the regular season while three remain winless.
Wednesday offers an opportunity for Chicago to stay unblemished and for Brooklyn, Indiana, and New Orleans to each get off the schneid.
It’s also a chance to improve your own early-season betting winning percentage. The bets below call on some usual suspects to shine. Let’s look.
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS AT BOSTON CELTICS, 7 p.m.
Cleveland enters on a three-game winning streak and has scored 110 points or better in each of its four games this season.
Trouble is, the Cavs typically yield lots of points against the Celtics, too. The past 11 meetings between the teams have been decided by under 10 points, including Cleveland’s 123-116 road victory in February.
Boston looked loads different then, no doubt, but the team’s assimilation to life without Jayson Tatum could be looking up. The Celtics netted their first win on Monday, downing host New Orleans behind 25 points from Anfernee Simons, who took charge down the stretch with Jaylen Brown fighting foul trouble.
With Donovan Mitchell scorching for Cleveland as usual – he scored 35 points on 72.2% shooting on Monday in Detroit – take the Cavs in a high-scoring affair.

NEW ORLEANS PELICANS AT DENVER NUGGETS, 9 p.m.
No joke: Nuggets standout big man Nikola Jokic is just the third player in NBA history to open a season with three consecutive triple-doubles.
He contributed 25 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists to key Monday’s victory at Minnesota, and a fourth straight triple-double is well within reach if he merely is pedestrian – by Joker standards, anyway – against the winless Pelicans.
Jokic averages 23.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, and eight assists versus New Orleans, and with Jamal Murray coming off a 43-point effort, it could be a long night for the Pels’ defense.
The New Orleans attack might be in for some frustration, too. A seemingly healthy and rejuvenated Zion Williamson missed Monday’s loss in Boston with a left foot issue and is listed as questionable.
“Unfortunately, it’s part of the game,” Pelicans head coach Willie Green said.
So, too, are Jokic triple-doubles. Thank you, sir, he’ll have another while the Nuggets roll.

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES AT PHOENIX SUNS, 10 p.m.
It’s been one week since Ja Morant dazzled Grizzlies fans on opening night yet again, notching his fourth career effort of at least 30 points in a season opener to propel Memphis past New Orleans.
He followed with 12, 19, and 23 points in the three games since, shooting 0-for-12 from deep as the Grizzlies went 1-2 in the process.
“We gotta get the offensive flow a little better,” Morant said. “That’s on me.”
Phoenix seems like a good spot to do so. The Suns are on a three-game skid, and Jalen Green (hamstring) and Dillon Brooks (groin) are working through injuries.
Morant jolts the Grizz — and his accountability.
