The Phoenix Mercury and Alyssa Thomas visit the Sparks in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Phoenix has climbed to fourth in the league standings after Thomas recorded her 17th career triple-double in a win over Golden State on Friday. The Mercury have won six of their past nine to reach the top half of the league. Las Vegas, currently riding a 10-game winning streak, handed Phoenix two of those losses.

The Sparks (17-18) have won two of their past three but gave up 44 points to Paige Bueckers before Kelsey Plum’s floater helped them escape with an 81-80 win.

Los Angeles ranks second in the league in scoring (86.4 points per game) and shooting percentage (46.1%), but is last in points allowed (88.5 per game).

Phoenix and Los Angeles are meeting for the third time this season. The Mercury won both prior matchups, 89-86 at home on May 21 and 85-80 on the road on June 1.
