Yankees Little League Coach Was Chock Full Of Steroids For Brawl
Do you remember Jason Chighizola, who sucker punched the coach of his little league rival Red Sox? Turns out he had nearly 15 times the amount of testosterone necessary to be considered legally doping.
'Twas way back in 2008 when Chighizola decked Robert Johnson during a postgame handshake, in full view of both men's sons.
At the trial, the judge noted Chighizola's "huge muscular appearance" and ordered him tested. He tested positive for, among other things, a steroid used on livestock to make them fricking huge.
The results were conducted by a California company, Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, and measured the balance between Chighizola's testosterone and epitestosterone. If the ratio of testosterone in a person's system is greater than six times the amount of epitestosterone, then it generally means that there are steroids in the person's system.
In Chighizola's case, that ratio equaled 86, the records show.
Chighizola was sentenced to 30 days in jail. It's a wonder he didn't rip the bars off his cell.
