Billy Hamilton is a very fast man, with a penchant for slap hitting and infield singles (a strategy that can lead to some awkward swings). But just how fast is Hamilton down the first base line, and how much of an advantage does he have over other speedy major leaguers?

The Score recently clocked the home-to-first times of six of the fastest sprinters in MLB. The graphic above helps put these figures in perspective. Hamilton just narrowly edges Dee Gordon, but he beats the other four speedsters by what is, considering how close plays at first can be, a pretty wide margin.
