The Rangers have amazingly started 0-6-1 at Madison Square Garden this season and have been shut out five times on home ice. The latest defeat came to the rival Islanders on Saturday night, 5-0 on the second end of a back-to-back set.

The Predators head to New York looking to snap a four-game slide, capped off by consecutive home losses to the Flyers and Stars. Nashville has lost five straight road games since winning its first away contest of the season at Ottawa.

Both teams are struggling, and the Rangers just can’t seem to find their way at home this season. Until New York proves it can win at MSG, or at least score consistently, let’s back the underdog Predators here to snap their four-game losing streak.

Islanders (+145) at Devils

Let’s take a look at another underdog here in this Metro division clash between the red-hot Devils and the Islanders. New Jersey is off back-to-back wins past regulation against Montreal and Pittsburgh at home to improve to 11-4-0 on the season.

The Islanders blanked the Rangers, 5-0, to snap a two-game slide, while winning their last two games on the road as heavy underdogs. New York captured both games at New Jersey last night, as each of the three meetings were decided by a goal apiece.

The Devils head out of town for five games after Monday’s tilt, and coming off two straight emotional victories in overtime and the shootout, the Islanders are worth a solid look here to beat another tri-state rival.

Panthers/Golden Knights 1P Under 1.5 Goals (+105)

The Panthers conclude their four-game trip out west looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 3-1 loss at San Jose. Florida battles Vegas for the second time this season, as the Panthers blanked the Golden Knights at home last month, 3-0.

Panthers’ goalie Sergei Bobrovsky shut out Vegas that night and is looking to rebound after giving up four goals in the first period of his last two starts against the Ducks and Kings. In his prior six starts, Bobrovsky allowed a total of two goals in the opening 20 minutes.

The Golden Knights are coming off a pair of home losses to the Lightning and Ducks, so they will be looking to tighten things up here.

Vegas has given up two first-period goals in the last five home games, while Florida has scored one first-period goal or less in seven of eight road contests.
