Mandatory Credit: Matt Marton-Imagn Images Chicago Bulls power forward Jalen Smith and guard Jaden Ivey will miss the rest of the season due to their respective injuries, the team announced Thursday.
Smith aggravated his right calf while playing in just six minutes of Chicago's 157-137 setback to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
He averaged 10.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in 53 games (21 starts) this season.
Smith, 26, has contributed 8.7 points and 5.5 boards in 324 career games (77 starts) with the Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers and Bulls. He was selected by the Suns with the 10th overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft out of Maryland.
Per the Bulls, Ivey will continue his rehabilitation as he deals with a left knee injury.
Ivey, 24, played in just four games with Chicago after being acquired from Detroit as part of a three-team trade on Feb. 3.
He averaged 8.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 37 games (five starts) this season.
Ivey was Detroit's first-round pick (fifth overall) in 2022. He missed significant time last season with a broken leg and more time this season with a knee injury.
