Washington took the first game of its series against Pittsburgh tonight on an overtime wrap-around goal by T.J. Oshie that capped a hat trick but needed video review in order to be verified.

Oshie’s goal at 9:33 of the overtime period appeared to be initially stopped by Penguins goalie Matt Murray before floating barely across the line. The usual overhead angle was of no use on replay, which brought us down to the pixels:
