Kyle Manzardo homer lifts Guardians past White Sox

Mandatory Credit: Patrick Gorski-Imagn Images Kyle Manzardo hit a go-ahead solo home run in the sixth inning and Tanner Bibee earned his first victory since May 22 as the visiting Cleveland Guardians defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-2 on Saturday.
Bibee (5-9) allowed two runs on six hits over 5 2/3 innings after losing his previous five decisions. He walked two and struck out five.
Relievers Erik Sabrowski, Cade Smith and Matt Festa combined to retire all 10 batters they faced over the final 3 1/3 innings for Cleveland, which has won five of six following a 10-game losing streak.
The Guardians led 4-2 before adding two insurance runs in the ninth on RBI singles by Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez.
Kyle Teel had a two-run single for Chicago, which has lost five of its last seven games.
The Guardians took a 1-0 lead in the first inning against Sean Burke. With two runners on and two outs, Ramirez scored from second on Carlos Santana's single to right field.
Burke retired the next seven batters he faced before Santana singled with one out in the fourth and moved to third on Daniel Schneemann's double. Angel Martinez delivered a sacrifice fly to give Cleveland a 2-0 lead.
Burke allowed two runs on three hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out five.
The White Sox pulled even in the bottom of the fourth. Andrew Benintendi and Lenyn Sosa began the inning with back-to-back singles, and both runners advanced on a double steal. Teel snapped an 0-for-17 slump with his two-run single.
Manzardo's solo homer put the Guardians ahead with one out in the sixth against Jordan Leasure (2-5). The 381-foot shot was Manzardo's 14th homer of the season.
Chicago hit into three double plays against Bibee, who was replaced by Sabrowski with two outs in the bottom of the sixth.
Cleveland tacked on another run in the seventh. Austin Hedges hit a leadoff double against Tyler Gilbert, moved to third on Brayan Rocchio's sacrifice bunt, and scored on Kwan's sacrifice fly.
Ramirez had three stolen bases for the Guardians, who have won nine of their last 10 games against the White Sox. The teams split a doubleheader on Friday.
