Let’s Talk About What Constitutes Acceptable Tanking
The Philadelphia 76ers just stripped bizarro wunderkind and general manager Sam Hinkie of virtually all his authority. Hinkie, as you may recall, is the architect of a “Process” by which you suck as hard as possible in order to acquire as many assets as possible, and then you trade those assets away for even more assets, all of which come to fruition sometime around 2096. Every fanbase cherishes high draft picks, and we’re all willing to tolerate a little bit of tanking now and again. But how much tanking is too much? How long are you willing to root for a shit team if it means they might get better for it? That’s the subject of this week’s Deadcast.
But that’s not all! We also got TRUMP, and football, and lots more stupid bullshit. If you have anything you’d like to hear discussed on the podcast, just send it in to [email protected] with the subject line DEADCAST. You can listen to the show here or download it over at the iTunes store.
