Arizona State fans can breathe. This game got close in the fourth quarter, as a Sun Devils lead dwindled from 34-3 all the way to 34-31. But Arizona State scored the game's last 21 points for a comfortable 55-31 win over No. 10 Notre Dame. The Sun Devils were buoyed by two pick-sixes and three passing touchdowns from Taylor Kelly.

The Fighting Irish are effectively knocked out of the playoff picture with the loss. Interestingly, the game could also have some adverse results for Florida State, whose win over the Irish looks a little less impressive because of Notre Dame's big loss. Arizona State is stating its own case to push into the top-four, but they'll still need a little help in the season's last few weeks.
