No, Josh Gordon Did Not Get Caught With A Pound Of Weed At The Airport
Photo credit: David Richard/ [object Object] Last night, Scout.com reported that Josh Gordon got popped trying to bring a pound of weed onto a flight from Cleveland to L.A., and that the smuggling incident is what prompted him to check into rehab. Here’s the extremely strange crux of the supposed incident, which happened after Gordon made his way into the airport through an underground entrance:
Gordon entered Cleveland Hopkins Airport via an underground entrance and was escorted to the upper level to pass through security for his flight. He was accompanied by a member of his security detail. A TSA representative on the upper level recognized Gordon and his security from the below ground level just moments prior. Due to the strange nature of Gordon being shuffled through the airport, the TSA pulled Gordon aside, checked baggage in the possession of he and his security and found what our source tells us was nearly one pound of pot in their possession.
Scout has since pulled the post and replaced it with placeholder text reading, “This story is no longer available.” TMZ spoke to the TSA and the Cleveland PD, both of whom told them that Gordon had in fact not tried to smuggle a shitload of weed onto a flight. Gordon did get on a flight on Thursday, but it was apparently “without incident.”
