This is not how Christian Hackenberg wanted to start the game, gifting Eastern Michigan a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but he quickly rebounded on the following possession.

On a second-and-five play from midfield, Hackenberg hooked up with Allen Robinson for 43 yards down to the EMU eight-yard line. They would punch it in shortly thereafter to tie it up, 7-7.
