Presenting The London Olympic Mascots Photoshop Contest

The twin horrors of London 2012 are oh so exploitable. To that end, we're calling for your photoshopped submissions. Fabulous prizes abound!

Commenter jxmitchell already graced us with his take on Wenlock and Mandeville, "two leftover bits of molten steel used to construct the Olympic Stadium." Can you do better?

Send your submissions to us or post them in the comments. We'll run the best in a future post, and award prizes for the best:

•First prize is a copy of Doug Glanville's autographed (in crayon) by CNN personality Crashtern.

•Honorable mentions will become starred commenters, or, should they already have stars, receive immunity from destarring for an unspecified amount of time.

To get you started, here are some potential templates for your work. And for inspiration, their origin story from award-winning children's author Michael Murpurgo.
