Rappers On Instagram, Ranked 

Rap Instagram is a useful tool, because how else would you know 2 Chainz recently procured a drone or Rick Ross went on vacation with Bun B? It is a place to find out new things about your favorite hip-hop stars and to see their personalities flourish. But some of these guys and gals are better at it than others.

So keep this in mind: Just because someone is good at rapping doesn't mean they're good at 'Gramming. This isn't a ranking of their lyrical prowess; it's a ranking of their Valencia-tinted pics. Musical expertise has no bearing here. Some very good rappers are very bad in this venue, and vice versa. They're different types of life skills.

1. Cam'ron

Cam wins because he has a sense of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously. He's self-aware enough that he's almost always laughing with us. Bonus points for frequent appearances by his girlfriend, Juju, who rules.

2. French Montana

I don't think we need to say much here beyond establishing that French is a guy who has a pair of Adidas slides and a matching Versace robe for every occasion, and he has a pet monkey he takes to the club and flies with on his private plane.

3. 2 Chainz

He takes third for frequent photos and videos of him hanging out with his daughters, Heaven and Harmony, not to mention his strong culinary sense. It is lovely thing.

4. Juicy J

Juicy J is the kinda guy who can be on Good Morning America and The View in the morning, make it to the strip club in time for the lunch buffet, and find time for a blunt in the car in between. And he posts about all this without any filter.

5. Drake

Drake is probably a little too self-aware, and he has somewhat of a porn-star problem, but he also posts pics like this of him and his dad.

6. Bun B

The thing is, Bun B's granddaughter, Taylor, really steals the show here. They're BFFs. His wife seems chill, too. Occasionally, you get some cross-pollination with Drake, who came to Taylor's rollerskating birthday party last year.

7. Young Thug

My guy is truly, truly one of a kind.

8. Big Boi

Big Boi gives you such a broad look into his life, from the globetrotting OutKast reunion to his kid's school events to his side hustle as a dog-breeder.

9. The Game

Okay, this is slightly confusing, because Game has three Instagram accounts, but the main theme here is he seems to be a good dad who likes spending time with his kids.

10. Rick Ross

Two important and possibly conflicting themes to keep in mind here: #10pcshawty and #rossfit. While the ever-shrinking Rick has truly committed to his fitness lately, his Wing Stop franchises still get his full support.

11. Takeoff

One thing: Please cut your nails, dude.

12. Action Bronson

We should probably have a come-to-Jesus talk with Action Bronson. Based off his Instagram, I am positive he eats too much, but at least he's eating well.

13. Future

This guy breathes style, and have you SEEN Baby Future lately?

14. Travis Scott

Travis Scott has never looked directly at a camera in his entire life.

15. Nicki Minaj

Nicki's selfies are truly, truly inspiring.

16. Soulja Boy

So are Soulja Boy's.

17. Riff Raff

Riff Raff is a terrible rapper who is great at Instagram. I think he recently started taking steroids, though, because his neck disappeared. Also, his dogs Jody and Kody and Goldy Husky (who might be missing?) are great.

18. 50 Cent

50 often uses his IG as a place to hawk his SMS Audio headphones in a way that doesn't really make sense. Which is to say, he just hashtags everything #smsaudio.

19. Pusha T

One big, big question: Why does Pusha T have such a wimpy dog?

20. Rich Homie Quan

21. Diddy

Diddy is always having fun: Look at this video he took of French Montana sleeping on a private plane!

22. Wiz Khalifa

Smoke more weed, Wiz.

23. Chief Keef

Chief Keef's kids have more cars (a lot) than I do (zero).

24. Killer Mike and El-P

I know they are two separate people, but Mike and El are sharing a position because it was such a joy to watch their success with Run the Jewels 2 unfold over the internet.

25. T.I.

T.I.'s family is fascinating; please zoom in above to see his son, King, dressed as Super Saiyan Goku.

Because one day, he may post photographic proof that Ariana Grande is an actual baby.

Chance is always just happy to be here.

Just two normal guys hanging out wearing a fuckton of chains.

It is so disorienting to see Not Fat Joe.

30. Remy Ma

Remy has had to make up for lost time on social media, because when she went to prison, Instagram was not a thing. But she caught on pretty quick, and probably has a lot of great #tbts up her sleeve.

31. Offset

By comparison, the rest of Migos makes Offset's Instagram look very boring.

32. Birdman

One question on everyone's mind in the past year has been, "Birdman, what are you even doing here anymore?" What he lacks in youth, he makes up for in hanging out with a bunch of young bucks.

33. Lil Wayne

Never change, Wayne.

34. iLoveMakonnen

It's hard to say what's going on here, but it's maybe better left unexplained.

35. Waka Flocka Flame

Not nearly enough pizazz.

36. Meek Mill

More like Meh Mill.

37. Trina

She says she's the baddest bitch, and you shouldn't argue.

Jeezy could stand to embrace Instagram more. He just doesn't post anything that interesting.

Honestly, this one is just kinda sad. It's basically just pics of his cup of sizzurp and shots of him hanging out with Johnny Dang, and sometimes doing both those things at the same time.

43. Snoop Dogg

Snoop is the worst at Instagram. Seriously, there is no one worse than the Doggfather. He posts too much, and he posts memes and stuff that are generally unfunny, and we need to stop encouraging him immediately.
