Reggie Miller Thinks Knicks Fans Have Gone Soft
The "MVP" chants and the standing ovation Kobe received after his 61-point performance at MSG Monday night didn't set well with former Knick heel Reggie Miller.
Miller reportedly was texting back and forth with Spike Lee after he saw the positive response to Kobe, suggesting "how the mighty have fallen.":
Because I remember in times past, I never got cheered. I’m sure Jordan never got cheered. And now they are chanting “MVP!” for Kobe? And all (Lee) kept doing was texting back and going, ‘Look, times have changed. The climate has changed.’”
Right. Like, for example, the Knicks aren't very good anymore. But one commenter on the SLAM! site pretty much summed it up best:
A) Michael Jordan has too been cheered at the Garden. B) Those Knicks teams were usually in the running for Finals berths. This Knicks team is in the running for free agents. C) Has it occurred to Reggie that no one was cheering for him because he’s a big penis?
So, there's your answer Reggie. Just be thankful the M.O.B. girls didn't hear about your complaints.
