Running Into A Steeplechase Barrier Looks Just As Funny As You Might Imagine
Let's give BYU senior Katy Andrews some credit here. She's the one who uploaded this video of herself failing to negotiate the water jump during the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Saturday's Robison Invitational. "I think I caught the toe of my spike a couple steps before the barrier," Andrews writes on the video's YouTube page. "I don't remember smacking the barrier...only being completely submerged in the water haha." She also says she bruised her thigh and hit her head, causing it to bleed. Andrews did manage to run for two more laps before bowing out, but she's pretty much given us the best laugh we're likely to have all day.
Update: BYU has been kind enough to pass along video of Andrews's big splash taken from a different angle.
