Sabine Lisicki Ends Serena Williams's 34-Match Win Streak

Defending Wimbledon champion Serena Williams will make an early exit from this year's edition, as 23-seed Sabine Lisicki executed an astonishing comeback to defeat the world #1.

After winning the first set, Lisicki fell apart as she watched Serena cruise to a 6-1 second set win and take the first three games of the decisive third set. (She also double-faulted at deuce in the final game.) But the shock here isn't that Lisicki—whose power serve makes her a candidate to win against anyone on a fast court—beat Serena Williams; it's that Serena lost to anyone at all. [ESPN]
