Sean Salisbury Says Goodbye To A.J. Daulerio, Whom He Once Sued

We're still roasting our former editor A.J. Daulerio, who has moved across the room to edit Gawker, a theater industry trade publication. Our guest now is Sean Salisbury, a former ESPN analyst and our onetime adversary.
When Tommy contacted me and asked me to write a "roast" for A.J., my first thought was: Are you on crack? Then I thought about it and decided what the hell, time to bury the hatchet and put it all to rest. Although the last several years have been pretty tough, I harbor no bitterness or animosity toward A.J. or Deadspin. I wish nothing but the best for A.J. and hope he finds the same things in life that I'm working toward—success and peace. As the thoughts went through my head I couldn't help but think of a few finer points. Like, A.J., can you imagine how much better the controversy would have been had the iPad been around a few years ago? Dang! And then there was this tidbit: Hey, at least I made somebody's Hall of Fame. And finally, I couldn't help but think: If only I had grown a 1970s porn 'stache like yours, my friend. My best to you on your newest career venture. Oh, and by the way, stay tuned for a national TV project with a major producer and another prominent former ESPN personality, coming to your television soon. Life's good! @SeanUnfiltered.
