Seven Players Ejected As Texas Knocks Off Baylor
Texas just topped 14th ranked Baylor to bolster its NCAA tournament hopes, but not without some (threatened) fisticuffs. With two minutes left in overtime, Baylor's Royce O'Neale * and Texas's Isaiah Taylor dove for a loose ball. O'Neale—accidentally, it looks like—elbowed Taylor, prompting the benches to clear.
That is a no-no and an automatic ejection, so after a lengthy delay while the referees consulted, seven players were ejected. The players ejected did not include Taylor or O'Neale, which was great news for Texas, as Taylor hit the game-winning floater with just three seconds left to secure the 61-59 win. After the game tempers flared again as Baylor players left the floor.
