Referees waved off Octavius Ellis’s would-be buzzer-beating dunk for Cincinnati after video replay showed the Bearcats senior still had the ball as the horn sounded.
Isaiah Miles’s three-pointer with ten seconds remaining proved to be the game-winner for St. Joseph’s, coming just five seconds after Cincinnati scored its own bucket to take a short-lived lead.
