There's No Basketball Crowd Like One Close To Free Big Macs
The most dramatic moment of the NBA season came before a Philadelphia crowd already resigned to the 76ers losing their 18th in a row. Because every time the Sixers score 100, each fan gets a coupon for a Big Mac. Small victories are where you find them.
There were to be no large or small victories at the Wells Fargo Center last night. After a free fast-food cheeseburger became a one-possession proposition with 17.8 to play, the Sixers barely bothered to try and get the ball back. But a giveaway by Ray McCallum gave Tony Wroten a seemingly open lane to Big Mac nirvana, until a uncalled trip. (Horseshit!) 76ers fans are sad and hungry.
Philly just has nine more losses to go to set an NBA record for consecutive losses. They've also got a painfully realistic shot at losing out and finishing 0-36. The Sixers/Bucks race is really the one to watch right now.
