Tuscaloosa Police Scanner Broadcasts 'Bama Family Watching Sugar Bowl
Last night we tuned into the Tuscaloosa police scanner to see if any Alabama fans would go on a criminal rampage after the Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl upset at the hands of Oklahoma. Instead we heard audio of a 'Bama fan family growing increasingly disgusted as the game arrived at its final moments.
We've no clue how this happened, though the best theory is that a sheriff's deputy or firefighter sat down to watch the game in his living room and accidentally opened a broadcast channel on his radio, onto which the scanner locked. Either way, it's amusing. We wish we'd had the chance to listen in on them all game. [ESPN]
