U.S. Men's Basketball Players Get Hugs From Michelle Obama Despite Not Beating France By 75
Of course, much of this is self-inflicted with all the Dream Team comparisons but it is silly nonetheless. At no point during this "game" against France did anyone with a skull full of working parts think the outcome was in jeopardy. Hardly dreamy, still dominant.
Kevin Durant scored 22 points, LeBron James added eight assists and the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team opened tournament play with a rough-and-ragged 98-71 win over France on Sunday.
It was far from flawless basketball - too many jump shots, silly fouls, poor shooting - but the U.S. men's basketball team wore down France with its talent, depth, speed and strength in the first half.
