Valero Texas Open starts after 90-minute weather delay

The start of the first round at the Valero Texas Open was delayed 90 minutes due to inclement weather on Thursday morning, the PGA Tour announced.

Players originally were scheduled to tee off at 7:30 a.m. local time.


The action got underway at TPC San Antonio at 9 a.m. with preferred lies in effect for the round.

As the last tournament before the Masters, the Valero Texas Open is the final opportunity for a winning player to earn an invitation to Augusta National.
