Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Snyder's dumbass libel suit slinks off to die in quiet shame. Of note today is another wretched attempt at litigious strong-arming by the wretched bully Snyder — this one involving one of his own players. Yesterday, the Maryland Court of Appeals ruled in favor of former Redskin punter Tom Tupa, who suffered a career-ending injury in 2005 and was trying to collect workers' comp from the team:

Tupa, who punted in all 16 Redskins games in 2004, filed the claim with the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission in 2007, according to court documents and won the claim. The Redskins appealed, however, but lost their appeal Feb. 28 and must pay partial disability and medical expenses to Tupa....

Improved benefits to retired players are one of the many issues the NFL Players Association is fighting for in the ongoing CBA negotiations.

Tupa was one of the top punters in the NFL prior to his injury, a Pro Bowl alternate and hardly a financial burden on a fellow with a Bombardier BD-700 Global Express XRS in the hangar. Around the same time, Tupa's wife was also diagnosed with cancer, something with which Snyder is all too familiar. But try teaching decency to a troll.
