Yoenis Cespedes Made Another Awesome Throw To Get A Baserunner Out
For the second time in two games, Athletics outfielder Yoenis Cespedes gunned down a baserunner in spectacular fashion.
Albert Pujols smacked a sure double into left field, and once the ball bounced by Cespedes, the designated hitter tried for a triple. Bad idea. The left fielder's throw gave third baseman Josh Donaldson more than enough time to get Pujols out, giving Cespedes his league-leading ninth outfield assist.
Cespedes's throw home to nab Howie Kendrick on Wednesday was admittedly more impressive—hell, it's probably going to stand as one of the best plays of the season—but tonight's was marvelous, too. We just appreciate the opportunities to watch Cespedes put his arm to work.
