Zlatan Ibrahimović Scores Outrageous Champions League Goal
French champions Paris Saint-Germain were visiting German side Bayer Leverkusen today in the Champions League Round of 16. We're not going to leave you in suspense here: PSG had an easy go of it.
It was 1-0 after three minutes and 2-0 after a 39th minute penalty from striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, who generally did whatever he wanted, all game long. The gem of the match, however, came in the 42nd minute.
Ibrahimović received a pass at the top of the box in traffic, and with his left foot, powered a shot past five defenders, across goal, and into the top corner of the net. It was a spectacular goal, which is to say it was sort of what we expected from the Swedish international, who has exploded this season and now has more goals (10) this Champions League campaign than any other player. What we're saying is, he's decent.
PSG won 4-0.
