Reports: Blake Griffin Will Return To Action Today
After missing more than a month due to surgery for a staph infection in his elbow, Blake Griffin will rejoin the Clippers this afternoon against the Rockets. Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles reported a couple days ago that today might be the day; ESPN's J.A. Adande confirmed it a little while ago:
This is great news. Staph infections are dangerous and notoriously pesky—you might remember David Lee and Rob Gronkowski, among many other athletes, enduring scary episodes with this omnipresent bacteria—and it's nice to know Griffin appears to have escaped his without any complications. But also, selfishly, there's a good chance this means the end of Glen Davis logging key minutes for the Clippers, and that's great news for our televisions and eyeballs.
To celebrate, here's a video of Blake Griffin doing some cool shit.
