credits: Jennifer Stewart | source: [object Object] Royals catcher Salvador Perez will miss at least the first month of the season after spraining his medial collateral ligament while carrying a suitcase up the steps of his home.
The Royals arrived back in Kansas City on Tuesday after spending spring training in Arizona, and Perez suffered the injury that night. He was carrying the suitcase when he missed a step and felt a pop:
Perez is coming off one of his best seasons, hitting .268/.297/.495 with 27 home runs. Guess now he has some baggage to unpack with a trainer.
