Hey, How's Oddjack Doing With Picks?
This image was lost some time after publication. We've been watching with a bit of amusement as our gambling addict brother Oddjack struggles to make sense of the early baseball playoff action. He's not alone, of course, but his picks have been a bit erratic of late. (Not that we've been much better.) This afternoon, he likes the Padres to beat the Cardinals, though for reasons involving a bunch of numbers and plus-signs that we don't really understand.
The major impetus for the pick is the continued struggles of Cardinals starter Mark Mulder, the guy St. Louis traded everyone in their system under the age of 24 for in the offseason.
We're wondering: Is there any kind of wager around for the exact date Jake Peavy's ribs snap in two?
