Triathlete Hit In Head By Falling Drone During Race
The machines are revolting. Be prepared.
A remote-controlled drone tumbled from the sky and hit Raija Ogden in the head during her second lap of the Endure Batavia Triathlon. Ogden fell to the ground and was treated by paramedics.
The drone belonged to New Era Photography and Film, a local company covering the race with live footage. Owner Warren Abrams said a "full investigation" would be launched, as the drone could have been possibly hacked.
Ogden suffered minor injuries to her head but was in stable condition.
