If He's Not Playing, Ain't Nobody Playing

Say what you will about Carmelo Anthony, but he handled his suspension considerably better than this guy.

Howard Stirgus, the star player for the Denton High School basketball team, was suspended from his team for three days for fighting. Right before the one game he was scheduled to miss, he called in a bomb threat, police say.

According to the police report, Stirgus allegedly began calling Denton High School at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday while the school was hosting a doubleheader between the Denton and Guyer girls and boys basketball teams, claiming there was a bomb in the building and it would detonate in a matter of minutes.

Our favorite part is from an early story, when Stirgus, reached by the newspaper, says "he made the calls but didn't say much else." Not much more to say, one supposes.
