What you missed while playing the world's biggest game of Where's Waldo ...
• MLB: Boss, I demand a Reyes ... Mets beat Phillies in 12th thanks in great part to the baserunning stylings of Jose Reyes.
• College basketball: Note to Self ... be sure to turn down offers and stay at Kansas.
• NHL: Predators unsuccessful in consuming Wings. Detroit 3, Nashville 1.

Melanie Coles, 22, the painting's creator and also a virgin, says that the anticipation of waiting for Waldo to appear is most of the fun.

@UkraineNotWeak: Weak. Enhanced imagery proves it's a fishing rod clenched in a fist.
What you missed because you were on a date with your babysitter.
@Al Czerviks Ride:
I was more excited about BC administering a beatdown with Sabres prospect Nathan Gerbe (all 5'4 of him) with a hatty.
@UkraineNotWeak:
Stupid Deb-or-ah!!!
@Afino: Gerbe played awesome. I am a big BC fan, too, so that numbed the sting of the Billy Sauer experience a little. Just a little though.
GO BC!
Reyes was out.
What the umpire missed was the fact that Jose Reyes was out.
Reyes is out when Reyes says he's out. And since the Professor speaks pretty horrible English, that's close to never.
Actually, in his SNY postgame interview, he more or less admitted he was out. His poor english betrayed him, as he couldn't delicately explain how he was magically safe.
Reyes might have been safe

What you missed while writing a show for Devorrah.
@tater: So, who was watching the kids?
What you missed while Boston College scored yet another goal.
Lammyroo is a great big sieve doo dah doo dah. (Sung to the tune of Camptown Races)
What you missed while doing a 3-way flip all night among the Thursday night comedies, the Masters, and the non-HD Sox game
/damn Bruins
what you missed while re-discovering one of the greatest State sketches ever:
+ Watch video
What you missed while enjoying your beet salad
Re: Reyes, you can't look at any replay and definitively say, "He is out." Although you can't really look at any replay and say he's safe, either. That's about as close a play at the plate as you're gonna see.
I kinda wish Reyes had barreled into the catcher, which would've made the debate moot. But the Mets have enough people on the DL as it is.
@shea_guevara: That would have been the most hilarious collision of all time. I think Reyes might have bounced into the stands.
As you can see clearly 3 molecules of his elbow are touching the plate before the tag. Safe!!!!!!!!!
@Herbies_Wingman: The thought of putting one of your beets in my mouth makes me want to vomit.
@tater: Reyes ruled safe by the width of one electron!
If you look at the picture, Reyes' elbow is clearly touching the plate and the tag has not yet been applied.
/Hleb was fouled, Babel was not
@BigTenObsession: you are redundantly repetitive. See:
@tater:
What you missed while trying to replace a $200 plasma TV on zero dollar a year salary with no benefits.
@BigTenObsession:
Oh I don't mind...it's pretty rare I get anyone to agree with me on anything.
@mannybeingmanny:
She does have the potential of a thriving candle business.
i thought this show was about an office.
Bugs & Cranks has overhead stills of the Reyes play at the plate. If he touched the plate before Coste tagged him, he's a gaddamn magician.
And I know it's early and everything, but all the Mets-Phillies trash talking is no longer hiding (for me at least) the fact that these two teams just aren't good right now.
@shea_guevara: No fair! You altered the outcome by observing it!
@UkraineNotWeak:
Yeah, I saw them, they were right in my face.
Let's bring it home this year, BC.
What you missed while losing the hero and getting with the zero.
@diggity: It's a great CD isn't it, babe.
@tater:
you must be married.
HI-OH!
@supermike5alive: Jumped the shark halfway through last season. It's just not funny anymore.
@OchentaYcinco:
Nice blurry images of the catcher's mitt and Reyes' hand. Doesn't appear it is tagging Reyes' back in the first two shots and it looks like Reyes' is touching the plate in the second. Also, the Ump is in a lousy position to see the tag. Then again, if he is on the other side, he's in a lousy position to see if Reyes' touches the plate. It's a bang bang play in which he doesn't get thr benefit of 1000 replays with stop motion.
@Chamomiles Davis: The Mets should be thankful that they have this device on hand for the umps.
What you missed while realizing you are dumber than you look for thinking a piece of wood was the hidden immunity idol.
@Chamomiles Davis:
Dude, I heard that Heisenberg was a douche.
What you missed while deciding what gang your child will be in.
[www.thedenverchannel.com]
What you missed while successfully outrunning officer G.O.B.
@Katni: Christ. That kid never had a chance, did he?
@shea_guevara: As a die-hard and fully partisan Phililes fan, I can absolutely make a definitive statement about that.
@Chamomiles Davis:
The sad part is that the kid really wanted to join the Aryan Brotherhood but was rejected.
@UkraineNotWeak: The main reason the Phillies lost wasn't the play at the plate. It was the fact that they were 0-for-a-billion with men in scoring position.
@OchentaYcinco: I'm kind of in agreement with you there. Mets have good starting pitching and a weak lineup. Phils have a good lineup and weak pitching. Both teams need somebody on their weak side to step up their game. Although last night was the first time in a very long time that the Mets didn't look like they totally sleepwalked through a game.
@Katni: My parents never cared that much about me. In my day, you had to earn your way into your gang.
@shea_guevara: I feel like both teams have good lineups on paper, but neither of them are hitting at all. The Mets scored all their runs on Tuesday off walks and errors, and the Phils don't even get on the board until the Mets go to the bullpen. Philly's starting pitching is bad, but Kendrick's control problems aside, it hasn't been as bad as I've expected so far (Adam Eaton - two straight decent starts!). And the Mets' bullpen could fuck up a ham sandwich. At least they're only chasing the Marlins.
@MitchKayak:
Needs a whole lotta puddin'
/outta heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah
What you missed while trying to decide who has kept it tight, and who you no longer want to "hit."
I never realized until last night what a thoroughly unlikable character Liz Lemon is.
@MitchKayak: My old college roommate, her sister, and I can do entire episodes of The State from memory. We can do "Porcupine Racetrack" in three-part harmony. We're big fun when we get drunk together.
In other news, you suck, Jose Reyes.
@Chamomiles Davis: You take that back!
@shea_guevara: I have reyes on my video game team. Since I always go for the collision at the plate, and reyes is fast... there have been alot of collisions.
Reyes has never, ever-never, been safe or done anything but bounce off of the catcher.
I laugh every time.
that seemed relevant.
