A Look at Last Night's Knockouts

As if there was ever a doubt, Miguel Cotto proved that Alfonso Gomez had no business sharing a ring with him.

I predicted that Gomez would quit on his stool after the sixth, but the doctor spared him the trouble a round earlier. Antonio Margarito paved the way for a huge July fight with Cotto in the stacked welterweight division by once again knocking out Kermit Cintron. Margarito overwhelmed the knockout machine and never allowed himself to get hurt. After badly hurting and cutting Cintron's eye Margarito landed one of the best left hooks to the body you'll ever see. The placement and timing behind that punch caused Cintron to curl up on the ground in defeat.

Tim Starks has a thorough breakdown of all four of last night's fights title fights over at Ring Report.
