Canadian Open Features Nothing But Holes-In-One
Here is Leif Olson making both the greatest golf shot ever and the greatest billiards shot ever at the same time. Of course, when three others have already aced the same hole, you gotta step it up a notch.
Yes, Olson was just one of four players to get a hole-in-one on the 15th at Glen Abbey Golf Club, during this weekend's Canadian Open. And that was just the second round. (Casey Wittenberg, Arjun Atwal and Briny Baird were the others.) Don't worry—BMW, who promised a Z4 Roadster to anyone who could stick the landing at the 132-yard hole, will pay up to all four golfers. By the way, a fully-loaded Z4 goes for about $51,000. Olson's career earnings since turning pro in 2004? $23,049.
Oh, and three other golfers also got aces (on different holes) bringing the grand total for the tournament to seven, a new PGA Tour record. And it's not even over yet! The tournament has been delayed several times due to rain and as of Monday afternoon, most of the golfers have not even begun their final round yet. So there's still time for a few more.
Only from now on, if you want the BMW you have to call all banks.
