Founded by Joey Levy and Jake Paul in 2022, Betr is probably best known as a sports gaming app. It offers fantasy betting and sportsbook markets, both real money and social, as well as arcade games.
However, in February 2026, Betr sweepstakes casino was launched. My review focuses on this, plus the social sportsbook – but not the real money gaming element of the app. I’ll explain how everything works, then look into the bonuses, games and other important features. But before getting into any of that, let’s find out where Betr is legal to use.

Operated by Betr Holdings, Inc. from Miami, this is a totally legitimate app. It’s certainly a high profile business, thanks to the involvement of Jake Paul, so it’s probably scrutinized more closely than any of its competitors. Fortunately, it takes regulatory compliance very seriously, and doesn’t try to operate in states where the product requires licenses it doesn’t have.
At the time of writing this Betr review, here’s a summary of the app’s availability:
As a legit social gaming platform, Betr uses the latest security features to keep players safe. SSL encryption secures your sensitive personal and financial data, for example, while KYC checks are required before any prizes can be redeemed. That serves three purposes – it eliminates fraud, and keeps underage players at bay, as well as anyone from prohibited states.
All of the social casino games at Betr come from reputable and well-established industry providers, like 3 Oaks Gaming, Fantasma and BGaming. Every product in the library has been independently tested and certified as random by third-party compliance agencies. There’s no chance any of them are rigged, so you’re guaranteed a fair shot at winning.
Although Betr uses the term “social” casino, this is just another way of saying “sweepstakes” casino. Launched in February 2026, it uses the exact same model described in my SweepKing review, for instance. Players get two virtual currencies to work with – Gold Coins (GC) and Betr Cash (BC).
There is no real money gambling involved, as games are played using either of these two virtual currencies. GC have no real world value and are purely for entertainment purposes. Play with GC, win more GC, try to accumulate as many as possible, and enjoy the casino-style games along the way.
BC, on the other hand, can be redeemed for cash prizes. This virtual currency works exactly the same as Sweepstakes Coins (SC) at other social casinos.
They’re sometimes called Sweeps Coins, too – see my ThrillCoins review for a great example – but they all function in the same way. Play with SC, win SC and exchange them for real money rewards after meeting a few simple terms and conditions.
It’s exactly the same idea, but you’ll use the virtual currencies to play on popular sports, instead of playing casino style games.
Most of the country’s favorite competitions are available, including NBA and NFL games, plus MMA and boxing events. However, this isn’t like a traditional sportsbook, with the usual moneylines, spreads and totals. Instead, it focuses on microbetting markets.
Microbetting involves in-play events, meaning the game has already started. These markets are super short-term events where the outcome will be known in the next few minutes, if not seconds. For example, “which team will score the next field goal – the 76ers or the Lakers?”
Odds are shown as multipliers, making it easy to calculate your potential winnings. If the odds are 2.13x and you play 10 BC, you know you’ll receive 21.30 BC should you win:
2.13 x 10 BC = 21.30 BC
Other Betr reviews don’t seem to mention this, but you can’t use a mobile browser to play. You must download and install either the Android or iOS app to start playing.
The Betr website is full of useful information describing what the products are and where they’re available. It also offers a searchable database of frequently asked support questions, and hosts the terms and conditions of each product. But you can’t create an account, log in and play from that site.
Try to do so, and you’re forced to scan a QR code. This takes you to the relevant application marketplace for your device. Download the Betr app from here and follow the on-screen instruction to set it up.
The bulk of the social casino games are slots. There’s also a handful of Betr Originals, and I was pleased to see a selection of live dealer tables and game shows.
These are supplied by Iconic21, an up-and-coming provider that’s made real progress in the last few years. It may not be at the level of Evolution just yet, but there are some quality games in the portfolio. Iconic21 is increasingly finding itself nominated for industry awards, and even managed to win “Best Live Dealer Provider” at the EiGE Awards in 2024.

As a social gaming app, Betr lets you play casino-style games and place sports bets for free. You never have to spend a single cent, as you can always collect GC and BC through bonuses.
However, if you don’t want to wait for the next promotion, there’s always the option to buy a GC package. Not only does this top up your virtual currency balance instantly, but these optional GC bundles often include free BC as a loyalty reward. It’s just a way for Betr to say “thank you” for spending your money on its app.
GC packages can be purchased with a variety of payment methods, including online banking, cards like Visa and Mastercard, PayPal and Venmo.
You need at least 100 BC to redeem a cash prize. This is too high, in my opinion, but it’s not unusual. Many other operators also impose the same limit, so it’s not like Betr is being unfair.
If you manage to hit the 100 BC minimum redemption limit, you’ll still need to meet the 1x playthrough requirement before you’re eligible to redeem. Oh, and don’t forget about verification – you can’t get a cash prize until you’ve fully completed the KYC process.
Redemption times vary depending on your chosen payment method, but they seem a little quicker than average. You’re unlikely to wait more than 72 hours for the funds.

Although I was disappointed to see there’s no live chat facility within the app, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email reply almost immediately.
There are several promotions for existing players, but the lack of a Betr bonus for new social casino players is disappointing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sweepstakes casino that doesn’t give you at least a few free GC to play with.
Welcome bonuses are important, as they let you test the site and figure out whether it’s for you. In fairness, Betr is still very new, so there’s probably something in the pipeline. I hope so, anyway – the marketing team needs to, ahem, “do Betr” in this area.

Access your Betr account every 24 hours, as there’s a daily login bonus of 5,000 GC and 1 BC on offer. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a daily login reward as big as that before. It goes a long way to making up for the lack of a welcome bonus.
If your BC balance is zero, you can turn on the faucet and instantly reload with 1 BC. This promotion is not the same as the daily login bonus – it’s an extra feature.

I like what I’ve seen on Betr so far. The social casino is still new – freshly added onto their more well-established fantasy and social sportsbook products. Its library is still small, but the games themselves are of fairly high quality.
The social sportsbook is also interesting, with its focus on microbetting. That really differentiates it from sportsbooks that concentrate on traditional pre-game markets like handicap spreads and moneylines. It’s just a more exciting way to play.
Betr also needs to improve a few things – there’s no live support yet, for instance, and you won’t even get a registration bonus. But even though there’s clearly work to be done, the structure is in place to do it. This is a serious business with money to spend, that’s looking to dominate the space – and I’m sure they’ll succeed in time.
