Mike Minter Has Moonage Daydream
Former Panther's safety Mike Minter submits himself to a battery of tests to further fitness science- or visit dimensions far beyond the reaches of our telescopes.
Actually, it's the first thing.
Minter, having grown a little soft post football, and running a charity called ""I Am A Foot Soldier" which supports youth athletics and fitness, submitted himself to testing at the N.C. Research Campus, a $1.5 billion dollar complex in Kannapolis, NC.
Minter now weighs 204 pounds and has 23% body fat. While a Panther he was at 7%. No body snarking please. (JK.)
It should also be noted that while a Panther, Minter was part of a secondary that absolutely humiliated the Eagles in the 2003 NFC Conference Championship. This was by far the worst championship loss of the Reid/McNabb era.* The final score was 14-3, but it felt like 564-0. The Panthers just beat the Eagles up. It was never competitive and I felt sick after the game. I will never like the following players because of that game: Ricky Manning Jr., Mushin Mohammed, Mike Minter, Jake Delhomme, Todd Pinkston, James Thrash, John Ritchie, Nate Wayne and Marco Coleman.
*Eagles losses in the NFC Championship Game: 1: 2003, lose to CAR 2: 2002, lose to TB 3: 2008, lose to AZ 4: 2001, lose to StL
